Set against the backdrop of 1950 and the days leading up to the nationalization of the oil industry, *The Defensive Wall* follows the story of Iranian workers in the south; these workers stand up to the British company to claim their rights, and a football match subsequently transforms into an arena for rivalry, solidarity, and the defense of national honor and identity.
